Compute, side by side
Every row, including the ones where Render is ahead.
What it costs.
Both are quoted per month for an always-on instance. Render’s Standard and Pro carry more memory than our sizes at the same CPU, so compare the specs, not just the totals. Render bills in US dollars, so the naira cost moves with the exchange rate; ours does not.
Render prices are its published list prices, checked 2 October 2026, in US dollars converted at a card rate of ₦1,560 to the dollar. Naijacloud prices are read live from our rate card.
Key differences
Naira, prepaid
You top up a naira balance and the meter charges it by the hour. There is no dollar card on file and no invoice at month end.
More database engines
Render manages Postgres and a Redis-compatible store. Naijacloud also manages MySQL, MariaDB and MongoDB, each with an optional public TLS endpoint.
Where Render is ahead
Render offers point-in-time recovery, read replicas, a SOC 2 report and more regions. If you need those today, Render has them and we do not yet.
Moving from Render?
Yes. Deploy from a GitHub repository, a public Git URL or a Docker image, the same as on Render.
Dump it with pg_dump and restore it into a Naijacloud database through its optional public TLS endpoint, then point your app at the new database during a short, planned cut-over.
Not yet. Render offers point-in-time recovery; we don’t.
No. The free tier is a free app and a free database plus allowances: unlimited static sites, 1,000 emails, 5 GB storage and 20 GB egress.
