Acceptable Use Policy
What you may not run on Naijacloud, how we enforce it, and how to report someone who is abusing the platform.
1. Scope
This policy applies to everything you deploy, store or send through Naijacloud, including content your own end users upload. It exists to keep the platform usable for everyone sharing our network, and to keep us on the right side of the law and our upstream providers.
2. Prohibited activity
Illegal and harmful content
- Content that is unlawful in Nigeria or in the jurisdiction it is served to, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities without notice.
- Material that infringes someone else’s intellectual property, or that you have no right to distribute.
- Harassment, threats, doxxing, or content promoting violence against a person or group.
Attacks and deception
- Phishing pages, fake login screens, or sites impersonating a bank, government body or brand you do not represent.
- Distributing malware, ransomware, exploit kits, credential stuffing tools or botnet command-and-control.
- Port scanning, brute forcing, denial-of-service traffic or any unauthorised probing of systems you do not own, inside or outside our network.
- Sending unsolicited bulk email, SMS or messaging from Naijacloud resources.
Resource abuse
- Cryptocurrency mining, distributed proof-of-work, or coin-generation of any kind, on any plan.
- Free-tier stacking: creating multiple accounts to avoid limits or billing.
- Open proxies, anonymising relays, VPN exit nodes and public tunnels.
- Using storage or bandwidth primarily as a file-distribution service unrelated to an application you run here.
- Deliberately generating load intended to destabilise shared infrastructure.
3. Fair use of shared capacity
Compute, network and storage are shared. Plan limits are published on the pricing page and enforced in the dashboard. If a single workload begins to degrade neighbours on the same host we may throttle it and contact you about a dedicated instance. We would much rather move you up a plan than shut you down.
4. How we enforce
Our default is to talk to you first. Enforcement normally escalates in this order:
Step
Action
When
1
Email notice
First or ambiguous breach. Usually 48 hours to remediate.
2
Throttle or isolate
Ongoing impact on other customers or unresolved notice.
3
Suspend the resource
Serious or repeated breach. Data retained 14 days.
4
Terminate the account
Illegal content, active attacks, or repeated suspensions.
Immediate action without notice
We will skip straight to suspension or termination where there is child sexual abuse material, an active attack originating from your service, a credible legal order, or a live threat to the security of other customers.
5. Reporting abuse
Send reports to [email protected] with the URL or IP address, timestamps in UTC, and any evidence you can share. We acknowledge within one business day. Copyright complaints should include the material identified, your contact details and a statement of good faith belief; counter-notices are accepted at the same address.
