Your account
Your account is you, not the workspace. It holds your name, the email we reach you at, and the ways you can sign in, and you manage all of them from Your account.
Where to find it
Open the avatar menu in the top right and choose Your account, or go to Settings → Account. Email preferences in the same menu takes you to the emails you can switch on and off.
Your name
Your full name is one field. Teammates see it on invites, deploys and activity. Edit it and choose Save in the bar at the bottom of the page.
Signing in
You can sign in with any mix of:
- Email and password
- GitHub
Continue with Google and Continue with GitHub are on the sign-in and sign-up pages. A new account made with Google is ready to use straight away: Google has already confirmed your email address, so we don't ask you to confirm it again.
Connect or disconnect GitHub and Google under Sign-in methods on Your account. You can't disconnect the last way you sign in. Add another one first.
If you use Google with an email that already has a Naijacloud account, sign in the way you usually do, then connect Google from Your account. We only join the two automatically when both Google and your account have already confirmed that address. This keeps anyone else from getting into your account by setting up a Google account with your email.
A Google or GitHub account can only be connected to one Naijacloud account at a time.
Changing your email
Choose Change email and enter the new address. To confirm it's you, enter your current password. If your account has no password (you sign in only with GitHub or Google), we email a 6-digit code to your current address instead.
We then send a link to the new address. Nothing changes until you click it, and the link works for one hour. Until then your current address stays the one you sign in with, and you can cancel the change from Your account.
Once the change goes through, we send a notice to your old address, so you hear about it if someone else made the change.
Changing your Naijacloud email doesn't change the email on your GitHub or Google account, and you can still sign in with them.
Changing your password
Accounts with a password can change it under Sign-in methods → Change password. You need your current password. Changing it signs you out on every other device.
